This will become much more useful later when you get higher Habit efficiency, but for quick early gains Familiar/Lesser Devil is better. And even then you gain just a little stats from the second skill. Practicing swinging only unlocks further features and unless you can get it to 5000 to unlock the first one it is useless to invest in it. Collect research and level up units in your party so that they have enough damage to kill the orc before he kills everyone. Activate Familiar/Lesser Devil instead of Practicing swinging.
